We have many things to be thankful for every day, but sometimes we forget about them. We are fortunate to be able to enjoy a home, to simply have the warmth of the sun, to live with our loved ones, and much more. Thank You GOD For Another Day touches on this theme, explaining that we can find love every day if we do good deeds because we are sharing our love with others. If something happens to us and we become sad, we can pray to calm down and find a solution. And if we look back on our day, we can find many moments for which to be thankful. Nakeisha Maharaj explains to young readers that God will always be with us, and we do not have to fear what may happen because deep down we are never alone.
One of the objectives of this book is to stimulate self-esteem and empathy. It also motivates you to do good deeds during the day, with a kindly disposition. I loved how Thank You GOD For Another Day shows that the greatest joys are found in the simplest experiences in life, and we can bring those lessons together by sharing love and gratitude with the people around us. Nakeisha Maharaj includes questions at the end so that children are motivated to think of good activities to help others and learn to see the wonders that each new day offers them. There is another section with affirmations based on passages from the Bible that can inspire children to be better.
