Terror of the Red Pants Attack on Dorchester Road by Nancy Seay is a memoir that will take readers into the episode of a horrific attack on the author and how she survived it, and her difficult journey of recovery. The memoir shows readers how one can live with brokenness and is a powerful story of determination, perseverance, and faith. The author was attacked on the sixth floor staircase and, after going from doctor to doctor, it took the fifth doctor to diagnose exactly what the problem was, while the other four doctors misdiagnosed her injury and told her that the pain was all in her head. It is a moving story that will reiterate the faith of readers in God and will encourage them to never give up till they find answers.
There is no age group of people who have been victimized, because victims come in all ages, all races, and all sizes. The struggles and pain shared by the author are palpable and her detailed narration gives readers details about the horrific attack and how she went from doctor to doctor for more than three weeks in her partially paralyzed condition. The book will motivate readers to move ahead in life when the odds are against them. The story is relatable because of the crime rate in the world today, and will make readers stop and think. The memoir is a good read as there will always be mistakes made by doctors, and there will always be another victim.
