Mathematics helps children to be focused problem solvers and have a more agile mental capacity. This grounding is important and if children practice reading books at the same time, they will be able to understand what they are taught in school more readily. Ten Little Sandpipers: A Counting Book is the ideal material for this. The book presents its story in the form of rhymes so that children can learn to count the numbers from one to ten. Each rhyme shows different activities to expand the child's vocabulary. Author Kim Ann assists the development of analytical thinking in the early stages of childhood by overcoming their fear of mathematics and reading.
I liked the illustrations of Ten Little Sandpipers, as children will enjoy images of starfish and seashells. The beach landscapes are tranquil because they portray quiet and pleasant moments. The rhymes are amusing and will help improve children's short and long-term memory. I found Ten Little Sandpipers to be a wonderful introduction to reading. Children's first books are important because if they like to read, they will develop their memory and other skills. They will have the self-confidence to learn new things and become better at everything they set their minds to. Kim Ann provides us with a valuable tool for children to develop their attention span while they enjoy learning.
