Suzanna knew her husband followed his strict views on family Christmas get-togethers, but she didn't realize the impact it would have on their relationship until they were facing their first Christmas together and Suzanna would be the only person missing at her family's Christmas gathering. And when Suzanna's old flame Matthew Yoder shows up in town, she struggles even more with her decision to marry Herman Wagler and his strict ways. What will happen to their marriage? Did Suzanna marry the wrong Amish guy?
"Suzanna's Christmas Wish" is a really nice, fast Christmas read, and it gives readers different views on how two Amish families celebrate Christmas. And as the story unfolds, the author shows readers a real deep love that grows between a couple when they trust the Lord and really try to make a lasting marriage. I love Amish fiction, and a Christmas story about an Amish family is especially enjoyable. Their plain way of celebrating Christmas is overlooked and becomes commendable when you read about their love for each other. And they truly have a wonderful and enjoyable time celebrating the birth of Jesus in their own unique way. Jerry Eicher does a wonderful job of taking this twisted family and their problems and demands, weaving them all together and coming up with a story that will leave you with that warm and fuzzy Christmas feeling. I highly recommend this one for your Christmas enjoyment. Pick up your copy soon though, so that you can read it before the Holidays!
