Strange Miracles by Larry Krantz is a wonderful read. A rural doctor, in the midst of a medical emergency, suddenly discovers an ability to perform "miracles." As time passes, he goes from surprise and skepticism to testing these abilities on other patients. Yes, it is all true! He is thrilled with this ability and has an immense desire to heal everyone he can. Unfortunately, in rural Missouri, this is not well received. After a tragic accident, he and his son leave Missouri, heading for new pastures where miracle healings will be explained to him by teachers and people who understand what is happening. He is not alone in this; there are other people like him, and he will be taught how to control these abilities. An amazing opportunity for him, for which he is truly grateful. In fact, they are not miracles, simply psychic abilities that he is taught to tap into and his expertise grows.
Strange Miracles was an immensely enjoyable read. Larry Krantz took a
common topic, turned it on its head, and came out with a beautiful book! Jordan Wilkins and his son Ben, along with two other protégés, Avery and Breana, plan a daring escape from the facility. They are in no way prepared for the way the Proteus Project operates! A twisting game of cat and mouse ensues, where they are both the hunter and the prey. Psychic battles, unpredictable outcomes, a traitor in their midst, and a race to save a man being targeted by the Project, all draw you into the story and drag you along at a nerve wracking pace! The Project has tentacles everywhere. No one can be trusted, no one can help. They are on their own in a battle against foes who have limitless resources and psychic trackers. An impossible task awaits them if they are to take on the Project.
