It is a day like many others in the Windy City when the story of Stay on Track! by Michael A. Brown begins. Passengers are waiting on the platform for the arrival of their train when Eddie, the train engineer, steps on board his train and good friend, Travis. They start their safe travel on the rail, and there, on a separate track, Eddie sees Oscar, a colleague he admires very much. It was just a brief moment of distraction, but it was enough for the two friends to miss the track and go out of their way. Will Eddie and Travis be able to get back on track?
Stay on Track! is a colorful book that, like all the best children's books, not only tells a story but teaches its readers a valuable lesson. In this case, Michael A. Brown's purpose is to explain through the adventure of two amazing characters that we should not be distracted by what other people do and how they do it. On the contrary, we should focus on our own journey. What we do in life (and how we do it) should be our primary concern. As Travis the train tells Eddie, people's "signals are different." The important thing is to follow Eddie's example and get back on track in the end. For this precious message, I recommend Stay on Track! to every kid between the ages of five and eight and also their parents. This book is a source of inspiration for adults and children alike.
