As spectacular as its cover art, Starflower begins with introducing the reader to an out-of-this-world situation that engages unique and never-seen-before characters in a battle of planets and alien races. Thom Fillinger’s science-fiction novel portrays the battle between Good and Evil through the eyes of alien creatures from unknown planets and an Earth inhabitant, Arthur, who gets involved against his will in something more important than he ever dreamed.
The first chapter plants the roots for the whole story, with Arthur being interested in what seems to be an airplane crash near his home and him finding a marvelous yet mysterious creature in the craft. In a wonderful beginning to an impressive transformation, Arthur's feeling for Starflower makes him do things he would have never imagined doing, but will he be able to travel through alien worlds only to save her after she is kidnapped from his home? Can Arthur, a simple Earthman, be the savior that she needs?
Starflower is a fresh and intriguing novel, just the kind you would like to come across when looking for a science-fiction reading experience, with out-of-this-world characters, impressive descriptions and plot twists and, most of all, an unexpected ending that can only leave you wanting more. Thom Fillinger found his passion for writing late in life, but his style has a freshness and originality that not many science-fiction authors have. Whether you are a science-fiction avid reader, an occasional fan or just intrigued by the lovely cover art, Starflower will surprise and impress you, from beginning to end.
