Sport Mindset for Excellence by Joe Santangelo scientifically explores training factors that affect performance. Understanding how to control these factors will enable you to become a champion. To build his sports performance model, the author uses universally accepted sports theories for peak performance and factors that influence performance. He introduces and discusses the eight mindset pillars and their sub-elements. The pillars include physical training, strategic and tactical training, goal setting, self-consciousness, courage, adaptation, clarity, and sports code of ethics. Finally, the author provides the five mindset tools that can be used to present the peak profile of a performer, which will help you know yourself and choose the best course of action that applies to you.
I must admit that this book surprised me in the best way. The content was enlightening and empowering, the writing was perfect, and the book design was amazing. Joe Santangelo provides advice from his personal experiences with the hope that no one will have to go through a lengthy journey to accomplish their dreams like he did. Sport Mindset for Excellence has mental, emotional, and spiritual strengthening strategies you will not find in other sports-related books. These lessons can be a self-coaching tool for athletes or anyone who wants to improve performance in other areas of life. I had an enjoyable reading experience because the book is well written and organized, with graphics, tables, and charts. Each page bursts with color and profound knowledge, making the book visually appealing and easy to follow and understand. I loved reading this book and highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to achieve peak performance and maintain their position.
