Spooky Ooky Dance Party by Lisa Jacovsky is a fun children’s adventure story. It’s Hallowe’en, and all the hoomans are dressing up, ready to go trick and treating. Moon’s hoomans have dressed him up, but he doesn’t mind. Moon is special and Hallowe’en is the one time of the year when he and his other special friends can play tricks. Moon can ride a broomstick and make himself invisible, but it’s a secret – his hoomans don’t know. This year, the special friends decided to have a dance party at the town event just to liven things up a bit. Come and join the fun at the Spooky Ooky Hallowe’en event!
Spooky Ooky Dance Party by Lisa Jacovsky is a wonderfully illustrated children’s book about a special cat called Moon and his special friends. The pictures help bring the story to life and are vibrant and bright. This is a really well-written story about one of my favorite times of year, and it’s fun to read. Ms. Jacovsky has a vivid imagination and a real flair for storytelling, which comes across clearly. She has developed some lovely animal characters who like to cause mischief, but it’s all good, clean fun. The story also teaches children that there’s always a workaround when events, like a good Hallowe'en party, are missing that special something to make it enjoyable. I loved this story; it was highly enjoyable, and I think kids of all ages will love it any time of the year, not just at Hallowe’en.
