Whoa! I just finished Special Passage, Book Four in the Coursodon Dimension Series by M.L. Ryan, and all I can say is that I am absolutely hooked! Following protagonist Hailey Parrish as she trains to be a Xyvox, or the ultimate in special forces on Coursodon, and as she discovers that she can not only change into a hawk but a flame-throwing, dragon-like creature, this wild thrill ride is a fantastic adventure. Hailey still has the biting wit, foul mouth and sarcastic sense of humor that made me love her in the first books of this series, but she’s also becoming more advanced in her impressive skill set. After saving Coursodon from yet another threat from a different dimension, Hailey gets stuck with in her new ability. Wondering if she’ll ever return to her hot boyfriend Alex, her best friend Rachel, and to herself, Hailey needs to learn more about controlling herself and her gifts before it’s too late.
This is an absolutely amazing series in the fantasy realm. Author M.L. Ryan has a talent in writing books that suck the reader in and keep you reading from page one until the very end. Special Passage doesn’t disappoint, and is fun, funny, exciting and inventive. Make sure you have a day to devote to reading when you pick up this book, because you won’t want to put it down! This book left me wanting more, but in a good way. I, for one, cannot wait for Book Five in the Coursodon Dimension Series, and can’t wait to see where M.L. Ryan takes Hailey next. Loved it, loved it, loved it!
