In Soul Proprietor by Duke R Woodrick, John 'Bullets' Galore has just retired from the Secret Service and is looking forward to some much-needed rest. But when his friend Pepper Duncan's family is found slaughtered, John does not believe for one minute the official narrative of murder and suicide. As he begins his own investigation, he uncovers a trail of deception and corruption that threatens not only the human rights of U.S. citizens but also world peace. John never believed the world could be so ugly, but he is now in too deep to escape. But as John tracks down the killers one by one, he discovers that the root of all that is evil and corrupt is very close to home. John must either fight back or surrender. For John, justice and the truth are worth risking everything for.
Before you begin reading this amazing novel, make sure you have nothing to do that day because you are not going to be able to put this book down. The tension and suspense begin immediately. I absolutely adored the courage and conviction of John. He is a flawed character but that makes him so much more realistic. The rest of the cast, especially the cold and merciless Marco, has been created with so much detail they jump off the page. There are some violent torture scenes but they were definitely needed to bring authenticity to the plot. The timing of the areas of conflict was just right to keep the story compelling. The subject matter of Soul Proprietor by Duke R Woodrick is relevant and the possibility of the events happening in real life will shake you to your core. The ending was a masterpiece and tied everything together perfectly. An amazing story brilliantly told and a book that you will not easily forget.
