Song of the Red Rocks (Red Rocks Trilogy Book 2) by Verna Clay is a contemporary romance about two people who want the same thing. Jason purchased the most beautiful land in the gorgeous Sedona area, land he played on as a child. When recently on sabbatical, country western singer Sunny Sundance comes into the Village of Oak Creek. She offers any price to buy the land. Sunny recently stumbled across a journal that she believes belongs to her ancestors. Discovering her family heritage is an important journey for her, therapeutic and rejuvenating after a humiliating and very public divorce. Sunny believes purchasing the land that once belonged to her family will help heal her wounds. But Jason refuses to sell because the land speaks to him as well. He doesn't want to give up the one beautiful thing in his life to the spoiled woman with the silver spoon in her mouth. But soon Jason realizes that the most beautiful thing in front of him might not be the land at all...
Song of the Red Rocks by Verna Clay is a wonderful story about how two people can want the same thing for similar and very different reasons. It takes the reader on a journey and asks if those two people can learn to put aside their preconceived notions and work together, talk, communicate, and fall in love. It is a well written story with a great story, interesting characters, and fun and engaging scenes. A great read for romance fans!
