Twenty years later, South Korea extradites SongBae from the United States on the charge of killing his stepfather. Something does not seem right, and his prosecutor, attorney Yeshin, digs in to find the truth. Yeshin stirs a large pot of danger featuring a billion-dollar conglomerate, corrupt law enforcement officials at the highest levels, and SongBae in the center. Yeshin's and SongBae’s lives are on the line, and they must find answers or be silenced in Slave Song by Jay J. Koh.
How far will a family go to separate their wealthy child from his poor pregnant lover? Should social and economic status determine who we can love? Slave Song by Jay J. Koh is a beautiful story that made me want more. It is action-packed, suspenseful, and has a unique storyline. Once again, I see that blood ties do not determine family but the people who stand with us through our highest and lowest times. The love of money is the root of evil that breeds greed, corruption, and recklessness that lead to ruin. I loved the extraordinary characters from Magnus to LaMisa, Kailyn, Grace, Yeshin, and SongBae, and how they interacted. I also enjoyed reading about weaponry, tech, and cryptocurrency. Koh is a talented storyteller, and I would love to read more of his work.
