SkyView: Lord of the Wills is a work of fiction in the action, science fiction, mystery, and historical fiction sub-genres, and was penned by author M. Sheehan. This epic yet fast-paced story takes readers through several centuries in its sweeping narrative, where we discover the tale of feuding families who are on the hunt for wealth that has accumulated over many years. With the aid of an augmented reality projector, modern-day heir William Ward is able to watch and learn the history in real time. So begins an epic chase for the fortune that some will stop at nothing to get their hands on, even if they don’t truly deserve it.
Author M. Sheehan has crafted a highly unusual work of action-packed chase fiction that combines its historical and science fiction elements seamlessly to create a credible and highly engaging plot. I loved the unique premise and method by which we could learn the historical path of the families and their fortunes, exploring through William’s eyes and growing closer to him as the journey intensifies. The book really is a page-turner because there’s always something new to discover, and the plot twists quickly into sudden new realizations, often with a devastating impact on the rest of the tale. I also really liked the dialogue, which stood out as very effective for both characterization and exposition of the plot. Overall, I would recommend SkyView for fans of science fiction and historical crossovers, as this is a brilliantly conceptualized novel that doesn’t disappoint in its delivery.
