Sitnalta (Sitnalta Series) by Alisse Lee Goldenberg is an adventure story. Princess Sitnalta of Colonodona is loved by everyone in her land while her father, King Supmylo, is evil and has nearly destroyed the peace of the kingdom. He always wanted a male child and that makes him hate Sitnalta. Now he plans to get her married to another king who is old enough to be her father. Sitnalta sneaks out of the palace and goes to the magical forest that surrounds the kingdom. She meets a troll, Najort, who helps her escape from there.
The story, like an other fantasy and adventure theme, is thrilling. The names of the people and places keep the fantasy alive. Sitnalta is a lovable character whom you will feel sorry for while reading the story. She lives with a father who hates her right from her birth. Najort's character is also interesting and readers will really like him. The fantasy and adventure elements make it a fast paced story. The story is the heartfelt journey of Sitnalta and readers will enjoy the fairy tale and whimsical elements. Will Najort and Sitnalta be captured and brought back?
The story is simple and charming. The character of Sitnalta is developed well and she is ably supported by the character of Najort. The rest of the characters also play memorable roles, along with the ogres, kings, queens, princes, princesses, and trolls. I am sure it is going to be an interesting series.
