One day in Oilville, a group of hotrod cars, Silver, Gold, and Bronze, plan to see a movie, but their plans change when their friend Crystal suggests they play in the newly renovated Great Hedge Maze. While playing in the maze, Gold finds a mysterious pedestal, and when he tampers with it, a ramp leading underground opens. Filled with curiosity, the four hotrods venture into the dark tunnel. I enjoyed reading Silver Hotrod And The Ancient Tomb because it was entertaining and funny. The car puns and the hilarious scenes made it a memorable read. Finn Ronan and Jake Ronan’s storytelling combines intrigue, suspense, and comedic moments to bring this story and the characters to life. The authors refer to famous adventure movies and characters. This was a unique element that I have not encountered in any other children's adventure books. The inclusive writing makes readers feel like the hotrods are old-time friends. Children will have fun getting to know these characters. Finally, the book has colorful and eye-catching illustrations that perfectly complement the story. This is the fifth book in the Silver Hotrod series, and I hope it is not the last because I cannot wait to read more stories about these characters. The book is perfect for children who love reading tales filled with adventure and comedy.
