David Welborn is a Maryland Based writer born on May 27, 1984. He attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health Administration and Policy with a concentration in Economics. He is currently a Payroll Accountant in the cruising industry for the past four years. This was his first novella which was based on his experiences as a transporter for the deceased in 2012-2013. David enjoys spending his time writing, traveling, and learning personal stories of others.

Have you ever wondered what happens to the deceased after a murder, suicide or car accident? Who is responsible for the collection of the body, no matter what it’s gruesome state? Follow David Welborn and his fellow team of ‘Reapers’, Joe and Susan, as they collect the departed in the most horrific of circumstances. As he travels inconspicuously through the streets, collecting the dead, David has to contend with grieving families, decomposing bodies and the death of a child. He battles daily with the overwhelming demands of the job and immerses his tortured soul in alcohol. David travels to the dark side of depression and hopelessness, trying to come to terms with his work and lonely personal life.
Seven On Seven Off by David A Welborn is the raw and honest account of a very little-known profession. The descriptive detail in this book will transport you into the dark depths of death, the afterlife and the uncertainty of mortality. The tortured souls of the 'Reapers' moved me greatly as they try to carry out this horrendous work whilst remaining professional and detached. Each of the characters was likeable and their unique personalities were evident throughout. I particularly empathized with David’s fight for sobriety as he dealt with death on a daily basis. This book will move you greatly and there are very upsetting scenes at times which were completely engaging and insightful. The epilogue was a great addition to the book and tied up all the loose ends. Highly recommended for anyone with an inquisitive mind. The author has conveyed the emotion related to the tragedy of death brilliantly.
