We all watch movies or TV shows or read books and voice our opinions about the stupid choices characters make and how differently we would do things if we were in their shoes. Well, Cloud Buchholz gives us that chance in his latest book. Seven Bullets is a grown-up version of those Choose Your Own Adventure books that we all enjoyed when we were kids. You’re an assassin who is ready to call it quits, but your little sister has been kidnapped by the Boss. You need to make the right choices and do your absolute best to save your sister before your enemies harm her. With thousands of different possibilities and over 80 different endings, your life and your sister’s life are both in your hands.

Seven Bullets is just pure fun. I was a huge fan of Choose Your Own Adventure books when I was growing up, so I jumped at the chance to read this book when I saw it. After reading through it and reaching a not-so-pleasant outcome, I just had to read through it again and attempt to make the right choices. A couple more endings later, I have reached the conclusion that I am just a terrible decision-maker. But, that’s what makes this book so fantastically fun. You have no one to blame but yourself. So, you want to keep reading to get that happy ending that you want. My only issue with this book was that I felt like it didn’t know what genre it wanted to be in. It started off with this awesome adventure/action-packed feel, but then it turns into a fantasy with strange settings, so it was a little confusing. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Cloud Buchholz gives us a book that is full of excitement and unique twists and turns. I will definitely be reading through this book a few more times to see what more trouble I can get myself into.
