It can be difficult to be in a relationship of any type due to the commitment involved. In Secrets of Strong Couples by Julie Bulitt LCSW-C, David Bulitt JD, and Karen Benjack Hardwick M.Div. MSW, you will learn about the various methods that are essential to maintain a long-lasting relationship. There are so many forces that get in the way of having a successful relationship, from raising children, mental illness, and finances to health challenges, but this book will challenge you to look at these circumstances differently. In this book, couples share the highs and lows of their journey in partnership with each other. After each story, the authors give their viewpoint about the pros and cons of the situation along with some lessons to learn and live by and pivotal points that are beneficial to take away.
It is beautiful seeing couples who have been together for decades but no one ever considers or counts the cost of what it took to get to this point. I enjoyed the transparency and engaging outlook that the couples provided in Secrets of Strong Couples by Julie Bulitt, David Bulitt, and Karen Benjack Hardwick. As they say, any successful relationship requires honesty, commitment, time, and patience and these stories reflect this and so much more. Here there is a story for every type of situation and this book gives hope, anecdotes, and best practices on what to look for if you’re seeking to be married or how to maintain and improve a marital commitment. It appears that with each story transparency and communication were always at the forefront in helping the relationship to survive. Make sure that you add this book to your library as a reference guide to help you establish or stay committed to a healthy relationship.
