Wow! Just, wow! That’s exactly what I thought when I finished reading Scion of Sin by new author C.H. Norwood. This book gripped me from the very start, and I couldn’t stop reading it until the wee hours of the morning when I turned the last page. This is the story of protagonist Krylan Starguard, an outcast among his Silosian kind because he was born with red hair and eyes, as he comes into his own and begins to realize the very dark power he holds within himself. Unsure of his power’s origins, Krylan knows that he must work to find out what makes him who he is, and before the darkness overtakes him and changes him forever. If you want to find out if he’s successful, read Scion of Sin. You certainly won’t regret it!
I loved Scion of Sin. Loved. It. How’s that for a review? Well, it’s definitely how I felt about this amazing book by author C.H. Norwood. For a new author, he has done a wonderful job in several areas often lacking in works of fantasy, namely, character development and scene setting. Norwood’s world creation skills are second to none, and readers will feel as if they had simply slipped through the pages and into Krylan’s world. Krylan himself is incredibly vividly described, and readers will definitely have a clear picture in their minds of him and the life he inhabits. Any reader who enjoys fantasy or science fiction should absolutely read this book, and I feel confident in giving this book my highest recommendation. I look forward to reading the next books in the series, and hope that author C.H. Norwood has a gift of writing quickly!
