Savannah Steam: Sommerville Suspense is a romance fantasy thriller by Anastasia Amor. Eager to meet her newfound cousin, Arianna Sommerville (Ari) travels from her hometown in Toronto, Canada, to the American south in Savannah, Georgia. However, things don't go according to plan as, after a chance meeting with a handsome man named Aidan Nouvelle, Ari is assaulted by a demonic entity with unknown motives. Soon, she discovers she's a witch with extraordinary abilities, with two powerful familiars. After inadvertently traveling to the past, Ari comes across Aramis Del Nuevo, a man with the blueprints that can tilt the American Civil War either way. But with evil spirits and people with nefarious intentions trying to stop her, will Ari be able to save Aramis and Aidan's family line? Who will she choose between the two men?
Savannah Steam: Sommerville Suspense is just the book you're looking for if you're a fan of time-traveling stories, paranormal thrillers, or romance novels. With a perfect blend of thrills, romance, and a healthy dose of the supernatural, Anastasia Amor crafts an absorbing tale that leaves you wanting more. The narrative is completely unpredictable, one of the main reasons I became hooked from beginning to end. You're never quite sure where the plot is going, as Amor throws multiple curveballs your way and keeps you guessing what's coming next. The author drops the reader into the scheme of things from the get-go, and it is only around the halfway point of the book that the pacing slows a little, and the larger picture becomes clearer. Overall, this is an entertaining novel that will appeal to paranormal romance readers.
