Sarah's Gene-ius Discovery (STEAM School Squad) teaches you everything you need to know about DNA and how exciting science can be. I appreciated the story's clear explanation of complicated scientific concepts. Science is generally not the most popular subject because of its difficulty, but when combined with Sarah's excitement for the subject, how could you not fall in love with it? Sallana Brown's easy writing style and engaging characters inspire people to discover more about genetics. Beatriz Gouveia flawlessly reflects the book's cheery atmosphere with a set of brilliant images that easily attract your attention. I particularly liked how the practical application of genetics is demonstrated, as it motivates people to look for it in everyday situations. As a scientist, I adored the portrayal this book provides to any young explorer confused about which path to choose. I wish I'd had this type of book to relate to back then. I couldn't think of a better book to add to any curious child's library; they won't be disappointed.
