Rogue Shift is the second book in The Wolves of Rock Falls series by AJ Skelly. Rachel Crumb is hellbent on revenge against Lennie after almost killing her sister with an overdose. Immediately after the deed is done, Rachel runs into the woods and is saved by Kyp who has just two weeks until his initiation into the Wolfe Pack. Kyp safely delivers Rachel to her best friend, Megan, where she hopes to be safe. But when Rachel is kidnapped, Kyp has no choice but to turn her so they can escape. Now a werewolf, Rachel moves in with Kyp to learn how to be a wolf. The evil Victor Atwood is on a killing spree and leaves blood and body parts at the border of Wolfe Pack territory. A complete threat to everything he loves, Kyp discovers that Victor is, in fact, his estranged father, and takes matters into his own hands. Victor's fate and Kyp's newly discovered brother are the perfect ending to the tale... until Drew.
I got the same happy chills with this second installment of The Wolves of Rock Falls series as I received when I read the first book. AJ Skelly's ability to completely grab the reader's attention as they read these well-written and thought-out tales is truly remarkable. I loved seeing a pack hopeful become a champion for those who had been so wronged. Each time I burst out laughing at 'seeing' the movements of the new unexpectedly turned wolf, I again cringed at myself and hoped that the police would not come to my door at stupid o'clock in the morning. I thought nothing could beat the romantic story of Sam and Megan meeting and falling in love, but I can now say I was wrong. Rogue Shift gave an incredible and in-depth introduction to two of the most amazing characters in The Wolves of Rock Falls so far. Fans of romance and paranormal genres are sure to fall in love with the characters. I look forward to seeing what happens next in the Wolfe Pack's amazing journey.
