RHCSA & RHCE Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7: Training and Exam Preparation Guide (EX200 and EX300), Third Edition by Asghar Ghori is a very thorough, comprehensive book written for anyone wishing to get ready for a Linux certification, or anyone who wishes to learn and master Linux. The book is divided into two sections: RHCSA section that covers all learning required for a single system, and RHCE section that covers all learning required for two or more networked systems. The book follows a sequential order, starting with the installation and configuration of RHEL7, basic tools and commands, working with files and permissions, virtualization, configuring the kernel, managing users and groups, and continues with the networking components such as managing firewalls and network interfaces, IPv6 and routing, hosting websites and mail configuration, etc. Not only does the book include learning required for those wishing to pass these two exams (RHCSA and RHCE), but it can also be used simply as a textbook and reference guide by students and professionals alike. There are also review questions and answers at the end of each chapter with a lab challenge. The book ends with a few sample exams and a very detailed glossary.
Written by Asghar Ghori, an experienced and accomplished Red Hat Certified professional working in the industry for several years, the book is astonishingly detailed and, at the same time, easy to follow. The book is a self-study guide that does not necessarily require a teacher. The language is clear and easy to follow, and the book is extremely well organized. All in all, this is an excellent book on Linux that even a lay person or a beginner can read and learn from, and is an extremely useful study guide.
