Set a hundred and fifty plus years in the future, Revelations: The Cost of Foresight by Robert J. Hamilton is truly a riveting tale. John Russell is the captain of a starship called the Destiny. After a space mission, he and his crew return home to Earth, only to realize it's hundreds of years into the future. The Dawn of Revelations was the prime suspect in the disappearance of the Destiny, and now with murderous crimes occurring on the ship and a Revelationist on board, and the quantum leap into the future, the confusion grows. Hamilton keeps readers guessing from start to finish. After all, had the Destiny not disappeared in 2174, perhaps the Dawn of Revelations would not have been able to attack Earth in the first place. Had Russell failed, and if so, would he be able to recover and succeed now?

Revelations: The Cost of Foresight is more than just another science fiction novel. It is also a story with a hint of romance, wormholes, alien attacks, mysterious occurrences and the challenge of overcoming an attack by a cult with the threat of an impending apocalypse. Robert J. Hamilton did an excellent job painting pictures with his words to enrapture his readers while endearing them to a variety of his characters. Simultaneously, readers will grow attached to supporting characters such as Chloe, all while questioning her honesty. And John and Megan are far from dry characters. Instead, Revelations is written in a way that allows readers to really get a good grasp of who these two astronauts and lovers really are. For fans of science fiction, Robert J. Hamilton's Revelations: The Cost of Foresight is a must-read. It's one of those books you just don't want to put down until the very end.

Revelations: The Cost of Foresight by Robert J Hamilton is a fascinating, absorbing sci-fi read with rock-solid characters and an enthralling plot. Meet Captain John Russell and his crew, going back to the Milky Way to stop an evil and fanatical cult called the Dawn of Revelations from releasing the apocalypse upon earth. But then, things change when the captain discovers they are centuries late. John is faced with an impossible choice; he’d have to return to his own time, centuries back, to stop this catastrophe at its inception, but what if he has a mole in his own crew? Here is a tantalizing story that combines time travel with incredible elements of sci-fi to take readers on a nonstop ride to a destination they just can’t figure out yet.

The first thing that caught my attention with Robert J Hamilton’s book is his impeccable writing. It is tight and the author creates wonderful paragraph breaks that make for great reading and that have a dramatic effect on the reader. The story starts in the middle of a crisis, in the midst of action, and it only gets more intense as the conflict escalates. I enjoyed the compelling cast of characters who fitted just so perfectly into the dynamics of the story. The narrative voice is unique and it comes across strongly, compelling the reader to read on. This is a great story with a great setting, powerful plot lines, and characters that will stay with readers long after they have finished the story. I found Revelations: The Cost of Foresight to be absorbing and utterly entertaining, a wonderful treat for fans of sci-fi.

In Revelations: The Cost of Foresight by Robert J Hamilton, returning from touring the solar system, John Russell, captain of the starship Destiny, is determined to get his crew back home safely. Still hundreds of light years away from earth, the Destiny runs into some unexpected obstacles. First, a member of the crew is murdered and the killer is still loose on board the Destiny. John, worried that an enemy might have infiltrated his crew, orders an immediate investigation, but the killer is very elusive and always two steps ahead of the investigation. Before the mystery of the murder is solved, the Destiny runs into serious attacks from aliens and John's team has to use all possible maneuvers to survive. However, more serious trouble awaits them, for they seem to have landed on earth almost four centuries into the future.

Revelations: The Cost of Foresight by Robert J Hamilton is a fast-paced, action-packed sci-fi story that will have you engrossed in its detailed narration. There is a captivating flow attained by the deep level of detail in the story, yet balanced flawlessly so it does not take attention away from the main plot. The whole time I was reading the story, I could not help but visualize the characters, the setting, and all the action, thinking to myself "this story would make a really, really thrilling sci-fi movie." Robert J Hamilton combined all elements of the story brilliantly and used an impressive level of detail to bring it to life vividly, and the journal entries added more clarity to the preceding events. If you are a fan of science fiction, especially time travel, you will have an amazing time reading Revelations.

Revelations (The Cost of Foresight) by Robert J Hamilton is a science fiction novel that would appeal most to a mixed audience of adults and young adults who enjoy time travel and space travel, and who do not mind some adult language and themes. Captain John Russell has returned from the Milky Way galaxy and is now prepared to continue his mission to stop the Dawn of Revelations cult from unleashing the apocalypse on planet Earth. However, the captain quickly comes to the conclusion that he has arrived too late not by minutes or hours, but by centuries. With one last hope of saving billions of lives on Earth, the captain decides to journey back to his own time to end the war before it can begin. Will a traitor on board undo the captain’s plan or will Captain John Russell persevere and be the savior of billions?

Revelations (The Cost of Foresight) by Robert J Hamilton was a simply spectacular read; the characters were all well developed, there were no plot holes, and there was never a single dull moment. I loved how the author propelled me head first into a time travel adventure to halt the apocalypse. Captain John Russell quickly found himself my favorite character, due his determination to halt the apocalypse and his willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to save billions of lives. The addition of a traitor among his crew members provided a nice twist that had me trying to guess which member of the crew was betraying them to the enemy. I have to say I was surprised by who it was, but it made perfect sense!
