On the way to Mars, the star ship gets lost in the Andromeda Galaxy, millions of light years away, with very little hope of finding its way home. Slowly running out of food rations, Russell and his crew encounter the friendly Redovans and the antagonistic Zuravorns. Faced with all these challenges, can Captain Russel and his crew accomplish their mission?

As the Destiny tries to find its way back home, Captain John Russell and his crew discover fascinating societies and innovative technologies different from their own. And as they face one obstacle after another, we cannot help but root for them.
