Razberry Babies: The Great Jam Debate is a children's picture book by Ranee A. Spina. Raz is a playful little girl. She lives on a farm with four adventurous furry hamsters named Taffy, Cassie, Bandero, and Nuffster. One sunny morning, Raz's grandmother makes a delicious breakfast with muffins and jam in different fruit flavors. As they are eating, the four hamsters select four different types of jam. Soon, they are all convinced that their particular flavor of jam is the best. A debate ensues that gets increasingly louder until Raz intervenes with a taste test, whereby each hamster tries out another flavor than what they had previously eaten. When the results take them by surprise, the friends learn a valuable lesson on the merits of having differing opinions.
Razberry Babies: The Great Jam Debate is a light-hearted story of friendship to warm your heart. Ranee A. Spina tells a delightful tale that will leave you with a smile on your face, and may even get a few chuckles out of you. It definitely did for me. The book follows the story of a little girl who can talk to her furry pet hamsters. Apart from Spina's captivating storytelling, the illustrations breathe life into the characters. Each hamster has its own unique personality, which is enlivened on the pages through these lovely illustrations. I found the friendship between the hamsters and Raz, as well as their obsession with jam, simply adorable. Overall, this is a funny and heartwarming children's tale that I thoroughly enjoyed. Young readers will love this book.
