The author aims to educate children, parents, and educators on how to address the topic of children with special needs. Children are curious, and they must be taught this topic at an early age. This will help them understand why some kids in the class have to read with glasses, why they do not have hair, and why others walk or speak differently. Every child is special, and it is important to celebrate their differences. The last section of the book gives various special needs a child may require. These include emotional support pets, hearing aids, and reading glasses; sometimes, they just require a helping hand.

Kids can bond through different activities like coloring, singing, dancing, and playing. It was heartwarming to learn why B. G. Baker wrote this book. The dedication to Nova (the author's daughter who lost her hair due to radiation treatment to her brain to fight a tumor) was so powerful and perfectly placed in the book. The illustrations depicted a world where children embrace one another and show care to friends with special needs. The bright and lively colors give the book a vibrant and happy feel.
