I've been writing since I was 12. This is my 13th book. 9 Biblical Fiction and 3 Contemporary Christian Fiction. One book on Halloween, and a book of poetry. I was fascinated that Rahab has been portrayed as a harlot and a Canaanite. Both not possible according to the Scriptures if she is to be included in the pure lineage of Christ. That began my research to find out who she really was and why she was living alone in a house that was an embassy location. As I searched, her story began to unfold and I felt led to portray her differently than she has been viewed by history. I live in San Diego with my little dog, Maya.

Rahab, Woman of Jericho by author Diana Wallis Taylor gives you an enhanced view of a biblical character. It combines the fall of Jericho with the Exodus and the settling of a nation into new territory. You are transported into a world of gentle passion, love, drama, and rituals, taking you back to biblical times when women had few rights. You explore the life of Rahab, a remarkable woman who helped the conquering nation of Israel. Her actions save both her own life and the lives of her servant and her family who would otherwise have been doomed to destruction. You become more acquainted with Rahab and her life in the city of Jericho. Rahab is extremely beautiful but will her beauty prove an advantage or will truthfulness and bravery win the day? A military captain is attracted to her beauty. Learn what part he plays in this drama. A good story to be enjoyed by all readers.
Diana Wallis Taylor has taken great care to research the subject of her book, Rahab, Woman of Jericho. Whilst her sources of information may be questioned by biblical scholars and reasoning may not be completely agreed with, its conclusions and the story for many is one of romance in a patriarchal era. Particular care has been taken in portraying the customs and rituals of the period. In this account of Rahab, the main character, Diana Wallis Taylor takes time to explore events from Rahab's perspective and allows you, the reader, to fully engage with her story. Even if the Bible is not your kind of subject matter, this book gives every lover of drama, history, and romance an excellent story. A nice easy-going pace throughout makes it a good book to read either in short stages or longer stints. If time and effort were taken to write all significant Bible accounts in this manner, more people would be familiar with its stories and the lessons it portrays!
