Questions of Perspective by Daniel Maunz is the story of a man as he goes on a journey of self-discovery and finds out everything he was missing in his life. Dave Randall is a lawyer who isn’t really happy with the direction his career is taking, but he is going with the flow. He wasn’t much into change, but that ironically changed when his friend John Manta just disappeared. Confused and desperate for answers, Dave packed his bags and started a journey to look for answers. He wanted to know what happened to John, why he disappeared and what became of him. However, it ended up being a journey of self-discovery, resilience and finding out what it really means to be alive. What happened to Dave during his journey? Did he find the answer to every question he had? Did he find out what happened to John?
Questions of Perspective by Daniel Maunz is a coming-of-age story of a man who thought his life had no surprises, but that all changed. Dave really isn’t a complicated man. He is a man of simple needs and simple desires, so the changes he brought to his life to find answers were tremendous. He is a perfect example of how one person can have a huge impact on our lives. The moment I started reading this story, I became hooked and was immediately invested in Dave’s life and his choices. He gave me a lot to think about. I had so many questions after ending this story and I wanted answers to them all. There aren’t too many characters in the story, which I really appreciated. The plot was great, the pace was perfect and Dave just added so much life to the story. I loved Peaches; this cat was such an amazing addition. This is a remarkable piece of fiction that everyone should read at least once in their lives.
