Queen V.: You Are A Queen by Derrick Little is a breath of fresh air as a guide for women. The book encourages women to reach their potential in every aspect of their life by being refined and virtuous. It examines how women are portrayed in the media and in society and how this causes damage to a woman’s belief system and therefore confidence. The book also covers how women can raise their standards and hold out for what they really want. You will learn from a range of questionnaires how to achieve success in business, relationships, and discover what has hindered you from achieving your dreams so far. This excellent guide to self-improvement will encourage you to focus on and celebrate your uniqueness and you will finally realise why you are treated in a certain way by others and how to influence change.
Queen V.: You Are A Queen by Derrick Little is a very enjoyable read. ‘Focus on yourself and you will set yourself free of fear and self-hatred’ is just one of the many pearls of wisdom in this book. This self-improvement guide looks at women from a different angle. It encourages and helps you discover your authentic self. Why women feel unworthy is uncovered in a way I have never thought about before. The main theme throughout this book is highlighting how women can be successful and fulfilled by being unique and respectful of their bodies. You feel, by reading this book, that anything is possible if you stay focused and do not succumb to procrastination or self-doubt. The questionnaires throughout the book force you to be honest about the causes that have limited you. There are many revelations in this book about how women behave to acquire power and approval. Maybe this book differs because it was written by a man, but he certainly has created a very good guide that women of all ages would enjoy.
