The book provides an assortment of new jokes that showcase Ayotte's skill at punny humor and presents children with quirky visuals as they read through the jokes. The unique visuals will help children with understanding puns and the use of punny language by helping them make sense of why the jokes are funny. Though centered on puns, each joke has a play on words that will engage and teach children how to word associate such as with trail mix and hiker, tree storing its stuff in its trunk, why you can't keep secrets at a bank with all the tellers, and how the skeletons don't cross the road because they don't have the guts to do so. The Punny Peeps will appeal to a variety of ages and will be a great treat for kids and parents alike.
