My name is Barbara Lennon and I am a native of North Carolina and currently reside in Raleigh, North Carolina with my husband and children. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a Concentration in Christian Counseling from Liberty University and a Paralegal Certificate from Duke University. I enjoy helping and serving others and participate in a variety of activities in my community and church. Atmospheric, spiritual, and discerningly human, Psalms from the Heart by Barbara Lennon is a splendid collection of poems that capture the outpouring of the soul, the different seasons of her life, the joy and the pain of her humanity, and her ultimate hope. In this collection, the reader is pulled into a powerful wave, music that rises to God. One will find prayers, and candid expressions of a gentle soul to God. They will also find poems that celebrate communion with nature. Other poems showcase the values of love and compassion, of human intercourse, and the beauty of being human.
Barbara Lennon’s poetry celebrates life and compels the reader to develop a sacred consciousness about its different seasons. The lines are simply woven, each pregnant with meaning, each as compelling as the next. Psalms from the Heart has a form of its own, unique and freely flowing from the depths of the persona.
