Emeka Enu is the author of Prop and Friends book series. The idea came from a need to include engaging bedtime stories for his children. Emeka’s son loves airplanes and requested a story about planes; he was not enjoying the books that Emeka was reading to him. After researching and not identifying suitable options, Emeka decided to make up a story about an airplane named Prop. For several months, Emeka narrated stories, and during a particularly animated bedtime story, his wife overheard him and inquired about the ‘book’ he was reading. When he informed her that it was improvised stories, she was astounded. The next night, his wife was in attendance for the bedtime stories. She encouraged him to write a book recounting the bedtime stories. This was the birth of the series, Prop and friends, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Prop is a small firefighting propeller-driven plane that lives at Zik International Airport, and every day he sees military aircraft going on special missions. Little Prop wishes he could be like them and make a difference. One day he meets Oz, a special kind of military aircraft. The two become friends immediately, but their encounter is cut short because Oz soon leaves on an assignment. Unfortunately, Oz's mission does not go as planned. Bomber, the big boss, calls Prop in to help Oz. Can Prop save his new friend and fulfill his dream of becoming a military aircraft? I loved reading this book because it has an important message for kids and teaches them about different aircraft. Children are curious about everything, including planes. Discovering this gem will help parents answer aircraft-related questions that their kids may have, and, at the same time, they will have fun reading a motivational story together. That is good value for your money. Emeka Enu brings all the characters to life with his storytelling skills. Prop is a beautiful plane with an adorable personality. The illustrations are colorful and bright, which is perfect for five years and up. The pictures make the aircraft mentioned in the story easy to identify. If you require an aircraft-related children's picture book, then look no further. Prop and Friends is the book for you.
