Princess Nevaeh: Lessons on Self Discovery by Ms Paulette Harper is a charming book for kids. Princess Nevaeh is curious to learn about how to become a real princess. Though her name is Nevaeh, she prefers that her friends add 'Princess' to her name. She decides to ask Mimi how to behave like a proper princess. The book is about how Mimi guides her to becoming a princess. Mimi guides Nevaeh step by step on what it takes to become an actual princess and how to behave like one. It is delightfully appealing, especially for girls. It teaches them manners and how to conduct themselves and the author does a good job of conveying good messages to kids.
It is definitely a girlie book. The illustrations complement that theme with the use of pink and mauve colors. The dresses, the crown and other things are attractive for girls to enjoy the book. Apart from that, what I like is the concepts and the Christian lessons the author teaches kids to make them better human beings. The colors and illustrations add vibrancy to the story. These types of story books are perfect for kids to learn, improve and grow.
I would recommend this book. Parents and grandparents can use this as a bedtime story book for their daughters and granddaughters. It makes a good story for read aloud sessions, especially for a girl group. The messages are apt and right to be taught while a child is growing up.
