Kurt D. Springs is presently an adjunct professor of anthropology and archaeology in New Hampshire. He holds a PhD. in anthropology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, as well as a Master of Literature in archaeology from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and a Master of Liberal Arts in anthropology and archaeology from the Harvard University Extension School. His main area of interest is megalithic landscapes in prehistoric Ireland.

Price of Vengeance is a work of fiction in the action, adventure, and science fiction subgenres, and is the first novel in the Dreamscape Warriors series. It is intended for the young adult audience and contains some moderate combat and sci-fi violence. Penned by author Kurt D Springs, Liam's journey is a compelling tale of revenge, self-discovery, and the true cost of vengeance. Orphaned by horrifying insects known as the chitin, Liam grows up in New Olympia, raised by High Councilor Marcus and Lidia. As an adult, he becomes a soldier, only to discover the chitin are guided by an alien intelligence. Cut off from his city, Liam unravels the truth about his identity and powers. His quest for vengeance takes a heartbreaking turn when he learns of a traitor who caused his birth parents' deaths and murdered his foster parents. The novel explores the moral dilemma of revenge, portraying Liam's internal struggle against the price he must pay for justice.
Author Kurt D Springs has created an exhilarating reading experience that takes all the best parts of science fiction and turns them up full blast for an all-out action spectacular. Springs crafts a compelling narrative with well-developed characters, and I found the close narrative style engaging with plenty to keep the YA audience interested in the central character’s plight as he faces his pain and demons. Liam's journey is not just a physical one but a profound exploration of identity, loyalty, and the consequences of revenge, told with strong, uniquely tailored dialogue that gives us a full emotional rollercoaster. The author's vivid descriptions and world-building create a captivating atmosphere, making it a thrilling and thought-provoking read. The plot is well-paced with intriguing scenes and interlocking mysteries that keep you hooked from start to finish. Overall, I would highly recommend Price of Vengeance for fans of science fiction, action, and drama.
