You will learn that getting a book ready for publishing is the job for a proper team. You will learn about the different types of editing (e.g. line editing and proofreading), and why each of the different types of editing is important when it comes to improving the quality of your book.
Polish Your Manuscript by Rochelle Carter is a great help for the writer who has made it to the stage of finishing a book. But, of course, if you would like to publish a book and have some sort of success with it, you cannot just publish it as it is at the end of writing. Rochelle Carter shows you what needs to be done to truly get your book ready for publishing and, as usual, her writing style is clear and makes the information easily accessible.
Rochelle Carter has a lot of experience in the publishing world and is happy to share her knowledge with other people. I found the information about editing very interesting because, initially, I thought there was just proof-reading and general editing - how wrong I was! And it is good to know about what is truly involved in getting a book ready. You will not only learn what needs to be done, but you will also get ideas about how much it will cost you, and where you can find the right editors to help you. This little book is a quick read, but full of valuable information.
