Through Poems from the Ark, Joy V. Sheridan expresses the nuances of love, both in its positive aspect and in its disappointment. The words are directed toward nature and self-discovery, what this involves such as going through sadness, deep sensations, disappointments, but with the hope of reaching true emotion, joy, and the restoration of the link between the soul and the world around us. These poems are good for deliberation and to help us situate ourselves in a complex world where sometimes emotions are not black and white, but a mixed range of colors. With a few words, different topics are addressed with the same purpose, which demonstrates the value of Poems from the Ark.
It was nice to be able to read such a magnificent book. In Poems from the Ark, the originality stands out due to the variety of resources used. The poems are few but have great spiritual content. The book constantly reaffirms that life is not a tragedy, but a pleasure that sometimes we find hard to recognize. Every experience is good because we learn from it. These ideas are strongly conveyed through harmonious words, which makes reading very interesting. It was wonderful to get a new perspective on things through Joy V. Sheridan's words. The author’s way of meditating and reflecting is very varied but always focusing on the same context, on a theme that we need to think more about to clear our minds.
