Pitcher Plant by Melissa Eskue Ousley is a Pacific Northwest Suspense story. Tawny Ellis has found the perfect home for her family. Sure, it needs attention, but it's within their price range. Moving in, they embrace the task with open arms – for a little while. The repair bills are spiraling out of control and her marriage is on the rocks. But that’s not all – someone else seems to be sharing their home with them. Something that shouldn’t be there; something from the past. Tawny’s daughter has a new friend, a friend who shouldn’t be there. A friend who looks suspiciously like the daughter of a woman who went missing. A friendly toy store owner befriends Tawny and the children, but soon strange things start to happen. The repair man has taken an interest in Tawny, but things are never what they seem. Tawny is being stalked, but is her stalker from this life or from a past life? And can Tawny keep her family safe?
Pitcher Plant (A Pacific Northwest Suspense) by Melissa Eskue Ousley is a suspenseful tale of terror. I was a little confused where the title came from to start with, but I soon found out! This is a well-written story with a natural flow and plenty of action. It’s fair to say that this book starts on a high note and doesn’t drop until it reaches the end. There are lots of twists and turns and you won’t guess the ending. You might think you have, and then something else will happen to make you change your mind – I changed mine several times! The character development was excellent; it left you in no doubt as to what made the characters tick and as if they were personal friends reliving a terrible story. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes paranormal, horror and suspense stories, as well as anyone who just wants something different to get into.
