Mrs. Bibel is a special guest at the young school class that Mrs. Prazer teaches. Mrs. Bibel is there to teach the children about the first five books of the Bible - the Pentateuch (Pentawhadda). Lynn Calvin Plater wrote Pentawhadda! to help children learn the names of the first five books of the Bible and what they teach. Pentateuch is the collective name for all five books. However, the kids also learn the proper names of each book. While the names are hard to pronounce and remember, Mrs. Bibel helps the students by using mnemonics. Reading this book with and to your child can help them understand the very foundation of the Bible. These books are fundamental to the Christian faith. As such, your children need to learn about them.
As a minister for over forty years, I strongly recommend that parents read Pentawadda! to and with their children. Because the names are hard to pronounce, many Christians skip over these five vital books. Lynn Calvin Plater knows the importance of the information in the Pentateuch and developed this little book to break it down into simple language that children can understand and enjoy. Parents need to take the time to teach their children the basics of Christianity. It is equally important to teach them how to live their faith through a godly lifestyle and this guide provides the basis. Loving parents take the time to teach their children about the Bible and how to apply the principles in daily living. This book is a wonderful tool to achieve this.
