Panglossian: Quasi-Daisy is a sci-fi novel written by M.K. Bingman. Faith, a high school teen, finds her life turned upside down when she comes across The Man, a Watcher of realms. Barely surviving an encounter with a sentient black hole, Faith's life turns even weirder after facing an otherworldly creature named Goobert. To her surprise, she discovers that she possesses dormant powers reserved strictly for anomalies. When she accidentally kills Goobert, she becomes cursed and unwittingly brings a potential catastrophe to her entire universe. The Man and Faith now travel to the planet of Quii in search of a mysterious technology and find themselves greeted by the planet's sole inhabitants, the Rymuth Elves. However, the trip doesn't go as they thought it would. Faith must now make the ultimate sacrifice to save her universe.
With a vivid imagination and a fast-flowing narrative, author M.K. Bingman delivers a pulsating sci-fi adventure tale that entertains you from start to finish. The plot is filled with twists and turns that make the story immersive and keep your eyes glued to the pages. The characters are colorful and full of quirks. Faith is foul-mouthed but with a heart of gold so you can't help but root for her. I thoroughly enjoyed her dynamic with The Man. Additionally, Faith's interactions with the Rymuth Elves generate many humorous moments. The author opts for a non-linear narrative style that may need a while to get going. But after fifty pages or so, it flows smoothly. I would recommend Panglossian: Quasi-Daisy to readers who love sci-fi adventure stories.
