On the Brink of Continuity is a work of fiction in the science fiction and adventure subgenres, and forms the last volume of the Saga of the Cerulean Universe. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience and was penned by author Kip Koelsch. In this thrilling tale that concludes the series, we find ourselves following different characters through their individual plot stances which will culminate in an epic conclusion as the dangerous and vengeance-fuelled Victoria gains more and more power in her bid to destroy The Balance. From alternate universe adventures to the uprising of refugees, conflict waits at every turn in this fight for dominance and survival.
Author Kip Koelsch has created a fully formed fantasy world and a convincingly realistic group of societies that science fiction readers are sure to be deeply invested in by the end of this epic trilogy. In terms of its storyline, this concluding part certainly doesn’t disappoint, as it offers huge amounts of tension and suspense alongside important turning points for the characters and all-out action sequences leading to the ultimate victory, or defeat, depending on whose side you find yourself on. Whoever you follow and relate to most in this complex story, the interpersonal drama and psychology are well-developed, with some very telling dialogue that is lovingly crafted to showcase the characters’ individual personalities as well as accelerate the plot without the need for lengthy prose. As such, On the Brink of Continuity is a thrilling read that goes by in a flash, but it’s packed with action, detail, tension, and narrative skill.
