On My Way to Greatness by Wildine Pierre is a compact and inspirational book on how to use the power of affirmations in your life. What I liked most about the book is that this author lets readers know that the power of affirmations goes beyond just saying them. She explains how some of the underlying principles and truths about the brain and the human mind come into play to create affirmations: not just words, but tools of the mind that open the thinking and allow it to take hold of the words until their reality becomes the everyday state of mind of the person working with them. The overview of The Law of Attraction and her discussion on what she calls the “magicking perspective” helps to stimulate the mind and to prepare it for the necessary positive changes.

The most important part of the book is that each chapter lives up to its promise and goes into detail in a way that calls for a reader’s participation. This is a hands-on, mind-engaging type of instructional book that is an example of what is required by people who need to understand what affirmations are, how they can change lives, and exactly how to use them to do just that. Was a really good book to read indeed.
I loved how the author explained the many thoughts and questions we sometimes have about this human life.
And all the things that are mixed up in it that are not nice.
Just know and understand that this author spoke a really good write.

I also liked the positive power of the affirmations she wrote about.

Not only lists of affirmations to try but first there is many information about how it works, when it works, what to do to make it work and how to build your own affirmations to help you and succeed with it. I've read several books on manifestation and affirmations. Most tend to be all rainbows and butterflies. While I can understand why they're like that, I found this book to be more informative and realistic. The book starts by outlining the author's own struggles with negativity. It then discusses how they pivoted and changed that, by taking advice from their father. That just gave a huge amount of credibility to this book. The book also has quite a bit of background information about affirmations and how and why they can work. I thought that was a nice touch too. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and found it useful.

Positive thoughts should be encouraged to displace negative thoughts. Affirmations are a good way to do this, as the author suggests.
However, as with many things in life, it easier said than done. The author does recognize this and provides a better written text than most to lead the reader to inspiration, and continue on in a positive direction.
Habits and routines plays an important part. As the author points out, affirmations should become a routine - just another part of your life.

This book was easy to read and full of useful advice for helping you achieve your personal version of greatness. I loves the idea of the magicking perspective, wherein you do your part, believe, and see what happens. Another of my favorite affirmations from the book was the injunction to "think you can and you will." Also love how the author compares training your mind to training your body. You wouldn't eat junk food if you wanted to be physically fit, likewise, you can't let your mind run wild with negative thoughts if you want to be mentally fit. The idea that like attracts like is also crucial. Negative people will make your life worse. Find a way to free yourself of them. Lastly, I loved her advice to focus on your self instead of external measures of greatness. All in all, there is a lot of great advice to help you become the best version of yourself you can be within this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book. First of all, I never knew affirmations were that important to mental health and self care. In the first part of the book, the author discusses the psychology behind affirmations and how it shapes the way we look at ourselves and approach the world. The author writes in a very friendly, approachable tone that is pleasant to read. I especially appreciated the long list of positive affirmational statements at the end of the book that are grouped in categories. The book talks about the effectiveness of affirmations and what they can do for the human mind. It starts off with Wildine Pierre talking about her early childhood, recalling a conversation she had with her father. Everything changed for Wildine when she received her father’s affirmation diary. After that introduction, the book sections off into multiple chapters that dissect the science of positive thought and how it affects our lives.

This was a very eye-opening book; it seemed like Wildine set out to discuss a very simple topic, but I found a lot more depth the further I read. The book breaks down its core concept of affirmations into digestible chunks and relays them to you in a very practical way. It doesn’t give vague explanations but instead helps you to truly understand what is being said. One such explanation says, “Affirmations are inherently positive phrases or statements that help you to effectively counteract and overcome negative, self-sabotaging thoughts.”

I also like the fact that Wildine took the time to help you tailor the book to your liking. This is not a one-size-fits-all situation like a lot of self-help books tend to be, but it challenges you to access yourself through quizzes and see what can be applied to the specific life that you lead. The book expounded on the little thoughts that we have that we don’t even realize the amount of damage that they do. However, the book doesn’t stop at determining the problem; it gives you clear and concise instructions to implement solutions to these problems. There’s also a chapter summary with key points that you can reference for the main takeaway from each chapter.

Wildine uses science and studies to support her points. The self-affirmation theory was a topic I found very interesting. I also enjoyed Chapter 4 a lot. It talks about who we are as people and touches on the topic of skill versus talent, which is something I personally struggle with. To top it all off, there is a list of affirmations at the end to help you in various situations if you can’t come up with them by yourself.

I really couldn’t find anything I disliked about this book, so I have to give it 4 out of 4 stars. It accomplishes its goal in a very effective manner and teaches you the lessons it needs to. I can’t understate how well-edited this book is. I couldn’t find a single error, and it was a very enjoyable reading experience. I recommend this to those looking to better their lives, especially those who have a tendency to get in their own way.

I'd highly recommend this to all readers because we are living in a world of chaos and hardships which makes us forget the beauty and magic of life itself therefore an unique book such as this one is a much needed read for everyone.

The Author Wildine Pierre shares with us how to understand the power of affirmations, unlock our full potential and manifest the power within us. This was the first time I am reviewing any book of this genre and now I could say clearly that books like this are definitely my cup of tea.

She trains us all how to be a superior individual consistently through confidence and to push ahead effortlessly in our own story. She shares with us the affirmations and the best part is when you realise how to make it from your own! I appreciate the creator for the manner in which she utilizes her insight and experience from life to tutor her crowd with positive affirmations in almost every aspect of life to boost our motivation and figure out our self-worth.

This content-rich book couldn't have been more well arranged!! I wonder how she managed to write such elegantly by always being on straight to the point. I loved how the author discussed about the depth and science of affirmations on our brain, ways to curtail negative emotions and doubts for ourselves, how to fuel our self- belief, some examples of successful persons and most importantly how to be our best version.

We are all works in progress and this is highly recommended to all the self-help readers there specially one who have been through hard times being under self-doubt. In my opinion the book deserves too be sold in millions!! Thanks a lot Wildine for sharing such an incredible read to us and developing in me a constructive approach on my way to greatness.
