OMG. We Are Killing Babies - Society has two choices: The Baby Lives or The Baby Dies by J.R. Thompson discusses a very important yet controversial topic that seems to rise up every couple of years. I respect the stance of the author and how he laid out his argument. He is not being overly aggressive about it; he is not trying to make you believe what he believes. He is just laying down the facts, sharing information and real-life incidences so that you can make your own decision at the end. He is just urging the reader to read his words and then look at the situation objectively.
He shares surveys, quotes, statistics and a lot more so that the reader is informed. Abortion is not something that should be taken lightly and which no parent in their right mind would do. However, it is not something that should be restricted as well. The author is very respectful in his approach; he is gentle in the way he shares some very disturbing and emotional information with the reader and is trying to nudge the reader into making a good decision. The pictures of children and fetuses at various stages of development were humbling and saddening at times. The narrative is crisp, encouraging and very gentle. The writing style is very informative, which makes it easier to read and digest. The author’s aim is to spread the knowledge and help people understand what is at stake, but he never pushes and he never forces. Very interesting and eye-opening.
