Ollie the Sand Artist: The Many Adventures with Ollie and Friends is a children’s adventure short story, written by Krista Scott. Ollie was not your ordinary everyday crab; he was a crab with a vision, which saw the world in a different way than all the rest of the crabs. He could take different plants and animals around him, and make identical pictures of them with whatever objects that the tide brought in. While he was busy making beautiful artistic designs that drew everybody’s attention, one of his animal friends asked him for a life changing favor. Will Ollie be able to use his artistic talents while succeeding in doing as his friend wishes? Or will he fail his friend miserably, while causing harm to innocent bystanders?
Ollie the Sand Artist: The Many Adventures with Ollie and Friends is a very cute children’s short story. I was pleased to see the author creatively filling every page with well-designed illustrations, while still making the story easy to read, whether the reader is a beginner, or if they are more advanced in reading. I enjoyed how the author stuck to the main topic while giving interesting facts about the location where the story is based. The plot in this book is well defined and I thought it was brilliant how the author used cute characters to make a point. I would not change a thing about this book. The characters were unique and the story never slowed down, making it a great book for the targeted audience of small children.
