Not the Same Person: A Journey From Heritage to Inheritance by Stanley Faddis is a story of redemption. A memoir of Faddis' life, Not the Same Person beautifully illustrates the Gospel message of Christ's never failing love and God's grace. Beginning with stories from Faddis' early years, it is immediately clear that Faddis had a rough upbringing. From fights, to bars and brothels, to experiencing failure in school, to finally church camp and even college, the way God wove Faddis' story and placed specific people in his life, such as Dave Baker and his wife, Linda, is a miracle in itself. Faddis had to deal with and recover from the deaths of many family members, but with Christ in our lives, there is always hope.
The book incorporates a variety of short stories, some tragic and some comical, that come together to form a well-written reflection of Faddis' life story that is enjoyable to read and easy to relate to. Not the Same Person is a true testimony of Jesus Christ caring for every single one of His sheep, bringing back and rejoicing over the ones who had gone astray. With God ever present in Faddis' life, his old ways die off and Faddis steps into the light of a new life found in Christ, and his life becomes filled with joy. While the wounds of Faddis' past are still evident, they have been transformed into cool scars that have fantastic stories behind them. The beautiful scars of Stanley Faddis are all because of Jesus. Not the Same Person, the redemptive story of Stanley Faddis, is an incredible true tale that reflects the graceful and loving nature of our Heavenly Father.
