Not a Perfect Fit: Stories from Jane’s World written by Jane A. Schmidt will definitely entertain you. In her quest to find perfect peace in her life, Jane sets about overcoming her autism, single status, and just being a woman by using her quirkiness to entertain others with her writing. The stories contained in this humorous book will certainly do that. Sharing one memory after another, she gives the reader an insight into her somewhat wacky world where literally anything goes, and usually does ... including her modesty in one story. Hilarious vision of her mowing grass. I won’t say more as it will spoil the surprise. Her doubts, concerns and hopes, as well as her dogged courage to make it in an otherwise harsh world, will have you envying her spontaneity, determination and sheer perseverance. Join her as she relates tales of her life with her beloved animals, her delightful Amish neighbors, and townspeople that often get more than they bargain for when dealing with Jane.

I found this a very easy read. It contains numerous stories, each complete in itself, but with a connecting thread throughout the book. It is a good book to curl up with and just enjoy. Jane exudes an innocence in her presentation of life that made me want to meet her and see the world through her eyes. She had me laughing and commiserating, shocked and envious, all at once. Definitely a fun read, and I would recommend this book to all, without any hesitation.
