Nosey, a fun book aimed at pre-schoolers, is a cute and sassy little story about an even more adorable monster living in our noses. Written in a fun way by Katie Hallam, who is a mother herself, it is a children’s book with an entertaining and educational character that refers to the tricky and somewhat unpleasant but the overall fun period in a child’s life when the most important thing seems to be picking their noses! Nosey is very caring and very good at what he does. However, there is one thing that he does not like, but that children often do when searching for the unspeakable treasure that hides in their noses, which is poking!
Katie Hallam approaches this awkward time in every child’s life with ease and amusement, using colorful and whimsical illustrations of Nosey, created by the talented Danica Publico. Nosey, the little monster, protects our noses from outside influences and teaches us that every part of our bodies, no matter how small, is equally important. This entertaining story teaches both parents and children about this ‘unexplainable’ phenomenon that every child goes through and that it is essential to take care of one’s nose and not poke it; otherwise, by poking, we wake up Nosey the little monster, who will not hesitate to tell us what he thinks of it. I recommend this amusing read to parents and children to learn about one of the quirky children’s habits in a fun and approachable way.
