New Visions on Old Views: Philosophical Essays by Joely R Villalba is a collection of three essays that presents three philosophical ideas that the author believes in. The first essay brings forward the argument that the human DNA carries a musical code that is unique to the person. Each person has a musical symphony that is beautifully them and them alone. Matching the music codes can lead to finding perfect donors for organ transplants and tissue grafts. The second essay focuses on morals as an objective reality and not a choice. The author supports that moral educational courses can help people make sound decisions and uphold their morals. The third and final essay declares that there are six attributes that you find in divinity and a Supreme Being. Understanding these six attributes will allow people to build religious tolerance and bring about peace for people of any faith.
I think Joely R Villalba has done something very honorable with New Visions on Old Views. As the title suggests, the author takes the new views to highlight the best of old views and helps people work towards a better life. The first essay is very admirable. The author did a lot of research, and if further researched, it can help people get the perfect organ transplants and tissue grafts that their bodies will accept. How wonderful would that be for the families of those patients and the patients themselves? I admired the work the author did in the first essay. The third essay holds a special place in my heart. With the current condition of the world where people have no patience with each other’s faith, this essay can help people be more accepting of each other and their faiths. Joely R Villalba keeps the language simple, easy to understand, and allows people to digest what they read. It is a must-read collection.
