Malidora never expected to find herself in another world, not after losing half of her own. In Neverscape: Bewilderness Book Three by Kevin Cox, we journey along with Malidora as she discovers that her world and the universe itself may be destroyed, all for the sake of harvesting the energy of organic beings. Given a fresh start in a world so very different from her own, Malidora seeks to stop the Gaith and perhaps save the universe itself.
Neverscape introduces a whole new world filled with weird creatures and fascinating concepts. Kevin Cox managed to create an even more imaginative world which had me engrossed every step of the way. The world-building was brilliantly done, from the descriptions of the beings inhabiting the planets like Kandom to the various forms of energy that exist in the universe. What I loved even more was that as the reader, you learn about this new world along with Malidora and see how she adapts to it. It allows you to connect with her character and draws you into the story even more. On top of that, there are so many characters we are introduced to as Malidora travels and each one is unique. From the Sirunak to the Gesauren, you never know what type of being you will encounter next. There was never a dull moment and Cox always keeps you on your toes with every page turned. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend giving it a read.
